((Anyway, whatever first one or two threads he has will be a little more inspiring, now that he knows he isn't alone. Prior to all of this, he's only been sitting where he woke up, looking around.))

What a funny little device. I had thought I'd lost my marbles when I first heard it at work. Everyone can hear me here, can't they? I'm Clive Dove and it seems I'm a far, far way from home. I'm in no rush to return, so is there perhaps a place I could lodge or find clothes until I've got myself sort out here?

Ah, since no one seems to want to address it, is there any particular reason I've wings now? ((might as well get his favourite curiosity out of the way.))

If there's a reason, we don't really know what it is. Some people think they--the Malnosso--put them on us so we can actually live here. Which...makes sense when you take into account the whole part about how they'll kind of...kill you if you remove one.

[He's hoping that's not the first he's heard of that.]

[Oh, dear.] Ahh--yep. That's...not exactly a great thing to hear, huh. But it's true. So you want to be extra careful with your wings. They're tied pretty tightly to your life.

My word; I wonder what it was that got me signed up for this mess. Though strange, when you mention it, that they help us survive here. ((backwards glance to his wings; his voice fades off a little near the end.))

Yyyyyyeah, it's not exactly...great, or anything. But--there's still some good points about being here. So don't feel too bad just yet.

Well, yeah, actually. You'll meet a lot of great people here. And there's a school, and a library, and a lot of ways to stay busy...
