I must say, this really is quite a funny place. Wizards and fools and all the like from children's fairy tales that I'm sure we all so dearly loved once upon a time. Then again! I'm sure there are many of us who still enjoy them. Aside from that, we have people coming into our lives and suddenly existing inside of them for a week or so. Talk about a bumpy ride, don't you think? And a glimpse of our own worlds with a friend or two... have I missed anything...? Well, as far as the Malnosso go, and their direct influence over us... Likely not.

As for how we interact, hmm... It seems popular to ask questions of everyone around here; who's where, what do you feel about this or that, where are you from.... That is one way to meet people. I should ((...)) probably work on that. Two months here and it looks like the Malnosso are fond enough of me to keep me around. I'm sure they find those of us here vastly entertaining in all our mundane routines.

If only sarcasm bled as well as the ink that wrote it, and if only I had a satisfactory and interesting question to provide to all of you.

A pity, really . . .

But look out! Some people will give you a puzzle in return.
hisapprentice: (one i've never heard)

[Darn it, Clive.

It is so hard not to like you.]

Do you think they'll beat you?
hisapprentice: (this book reminds me)

...Have you ever had a puzzle you couldn't solve?
hisapprentice: (tips hat)

[personal profile] hisapprentice 2012-05-13 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)
If you remember any of them, maybe someone here can solve it.
hisapprentice: (nervous)

[A true gentleman leaves no puzzle unsolved!]

...So...what's...the last thing you did in London?
hisapprentice: (hiding my face)

[voice]

[personal profile] hisapprentice 2012-05-14 06:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh. So...that's about the same time.

[This mix of pity and dislike and admiration and confusion is overwhelming. And he's hungry.]

Then you...did you know about Celeste?
hisapprentice: (hiding my face)

[voice] yes you should have

[personal profile] hisapprentice 2012-05-15 03:16 pm (UTC)(link)
...She disappeared.
hisapprentice: (down)

[Luke struggles with just about everything that happened in Future London because some of it was outrageous and some of it...

...Some of it he wishes had been real. He looked up to you, Future Self. You were a cunning and clever and puzzle-loving gentleman.]

I guess that's all I wanted to say.
hisapprentice: (table slam!)

It's not about me! It's about Professor Layton!

[He has never seen his mentor act that way before.]
hisapprentice: (a true gentleman needs exercise)

[voice]

[personal profile] hisapprentice 2012-05-17 02:14 pm (UTC)(link)
I can't do that!

[It would make him sad. Probably. A puzzle of sadness for which Luke has no solution.]

Anyway...I don't...I don't think the Professor should come here. [He said that last part pretty fast.]
hisapprentice: (so. bored.)

[personal profile] hisapprentice 2012-05-18 01:43 pm (UTC)(link)
[Oh but Professor Layton gets into lots of trouble! He's just an expert at getting out of it.]

I wonder what he would make of this place.
hisapprentice: (table slam!)

If anyone could figure out how to get us home again, it's Professor Layton.
hisapprentice: (ha! got it!)

[voice]

[There is nothing stronger than his faith in his professor except perhaps his appetite.]

Of course he is! No one's better than Professor Layton, especially at solving puzzles.
