The Malnosso are the scientists who keep us within this enclosure. They claim to be stranded here as much as we are, but they must have been here longer to amass their resources. They run experiments on us which defy reality in order to find a way to return home. And they're the only such organization that we know of. The only other known inhabitants of this planet are the Third Party - and they don't keep prisoners, from what I've read. They seek total death of everyone else in this world.
As far as I know, nothing is known of the means. The Malnosso deny having brought us here. I know that much. Rather, it seems to be attributed to some force within this very planet. Whether it's of a scientific or some other nature, that may still just be a mystery. The only pattern I'm aware of is that new inhabitants arrive every other month in an especially high volume. I suppose that it is worth noting that I and my wife arrived here at the same time.
This is not the only settlement. As far as I've been able to read, there are many enclosures kept by the Malnosso throughout the planet.
As for what makes me certain? The fact that I and my wife are now living and breathing once more. Additionally, the condition of my son makes it clear that we are somewhere outside of our normal time.

Who are the Malnosso? Objective or subjective. Are they the only ones doing this?
Does anyone know how they brought us here? Machine, magics, or perhaps another means?
Is there any sort of pattern to those brought in? Timing, personnel, anything of that nature...
Is this the only settlement of captivees?
What makes you certain this is another world than any other?
